Further proof that no love was lost between a very understanding Katy Perry and her wedding no-show pal Rihanna.
Calling in to Ryan Seacrest's radio program on Monday, the red-haired singer was asked about speculation that she and the newlywed are planning on joining forces in the studio…

"She actually sent me a song a while ago and she wanted me to be a part of it," Rihanna revealed. "And I was like, 'Hell yeah, of course, that's my girl,' and the song is amazing. So we'll be recording that together pretty soon."
And if Rihanna's description of her good friend is any indication, it's probably safe to say the planned tune will be anything but downbeat.
"When I first met her, her personality was so on point," she said. "I felt like she had no edit button, she was really fun and had a great sense of humor."
As for not being able to fly over to India for Katy's nuptials last month because of obligations related to her new album (due Nov. 16), Rihanna admits it's definitely not something she's happy about.
"I am crushed that I missed that wedding," she said. "I will never, ever forgive myself for that."

Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles has a bone to pick with 'kiddie porn'-peddling Katy Perry, after finding her son secretly watching Katy's 'California Gurls' video, as if it was porn.

Solange's kid, Julez, is almost six years old - and apparently felt that Katy's video was too sexy to watch when his mum was around.
Solange took to her Twitter to fume, eloquently writing: "But seriously. Iontlike the fact dat Julez thinks he gotta sneak & watched California gurls on u tube. Katy Perry is polluting the chirrens.
"It is like kiddie porn tho. All them damn colors, candy and s---… and then daisy dukes, breast shooting cream… And then Elmo and T---!?" she said, referring to Katy's cleavage-y stint on Sesame Street, deemed too raunchy to broadcast.
We're sure Katy isn't the first celeb to do something sexy in her pop career then make an appearance on Sesame Street, but mixing boob cannons and nudity with lollipops and fairy floss is a bit kiddie-porn-like, now that we think about it. Katy Is Getting Married in India

Rihanna will be heading to India reportedly later this month to attend Katy Perry's wedding -- and she talks to ET exclusively behind the scenes of her So Kodak commercial shoot.
"I am going," she says. "It is in India. I am excited about that because I have never been there. I am just excited to see her get married. I am excited to see her dress. She won't tell me what it is."
The two women became friends when they met at an awards show, where they were seated together and discovered they had a similar sense of humor.
"From there, she just seemed to be a down-to-earth person," the Barbados beauty tells ET. "In the industry, you don't meet a lot of people who are genuine and you can always tell when it is a face that they put on. It is okay. I get it. With Katy, she is just such a free spirit. She has no edit button at all."
Rihanna says she and Katy have been talking a lot about possibly working together. "We want to get in the studio and make something for this album, or maybe for her re-release. But we want to do something together for sure."
The "Rude Boy" singer is the only female to be a part of the So Kodak campaign, joining previously announced artists Drake, Trey Songz and Pitbull.
"[The So Kodak camera] is not just technically advanced, it is sexy-looking," she says. "It comes in cool colors. It is a fun camera…. It is really easy. You take the picture and you can share right away," she says, pointing out the share button that allows you to quickly send photos to friends and family when the camera is plugged into a computer.

Just because Rihanna is friends with Katy Perry, that doesn't mean she has to like her music.
And it turns out she really doesn't.
In a recent interview with BBC's Radio 1 about her new album, "Loud," the 22-year-old singer slammed Perry's chart-topping bubblegum pop.

"I didn't want the generic pop record that Ke$sha or Lady Gaga or Katy Perry would do," she said, according to RadarOnline.com. "Every song was tailored to me."
The blunt statement comes as a shock after the "Only Girl (In the World)" singer recently threw a bachelorette party for her "generic pop" buddy.

The "California Gurls" singer and Rihanna celebrated Perry’s upcoming nuptials at Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel on Sept. 18. The duo was photographed attended the Cirque Du Soleil's "KA" show at MGM Grand Hotel/Casino and later headed over to the Sapphire strip club.

"Signing up for a liver transplant now," the bride-to-be tweeted during the festivities.
Perry and Russell Brand will reportedly return to the site of their New Year's Eve engagement in India to tie the knot later this year.
Meanwhile, the singer hasn't had time to mull over Rihanna's slight as she has been in Germany performing on "Wetten Dass...?"
Perry wowed her Teutonic audience in an uber tight pink sparkly bodysuit to perform as a musical guest on Saturday.
"I'm starving, what should I have for lunch... Beer? Time to bust out my wench dress. God knows I've got the rack for it. #oktoberfest," Perry tweeted after sporting the traditional dirndl for the show.
Rihanna will be performing on "Saturday Night Live" on Oct. 30, just one month after Perry appeared as a musical guest.

Katy's Ex Talking Trash

If you believe the stories about how tumultuous the relationship between Katy Perry and Travie McCoy was, it really shouldn't come as much of a shock that the two of them have, at least musically, taken shots at one another.

In McCoy's hit "Billionaire" he slides in what many consider to be a knock at Perry with the lines "You can call me Travie Claus minus the 'Ho Ho'/Get it?"
Perry, on the other hand, channeled her hurt from the relationship into a song called "Circle the Drain," which she has described as her own personal "You Oughtta Know."  The lyrics appear to reference McCoy's documented issues with drugs, saying things like "You fall asleep during foreplay/'Cause the pills you take, are more your forte," and "You say you have to write your rhymes/Whatever helps you sleep at night/You've become what you despise/A stereotype."  Slant Magazine's review of the song even mentioned "she's almost less sympathetic than the pill-popping object of her scorn. Her put-downs are alternately pedantic ("Wanna be your lover, not your fucking mother") and hypocritical (she's offended that he takes drugs before foreplay, but wasn't she the one blacking out and hooking up "Last Friday Night"?)."

Well, now McCoy has commented on Perry's song.  When asked about it by MTV, he said:

"I heard she put out a song that's about me, or about some old habits or whatever.  [And] I look at it like this: I'm just stoked that she finally has a song with some substance on her record. Good job."

Um...WOW.

Okay, Travie, I'll admit, I LOL'd.  But at the same time: you're not in high school anymore.  While I think there's totally something to be said for getting your feelings out about someone or something via song, taking swipes like this in interviews doesn't make you look like the bigger person.  Granted, neither does Katy harping on your drug issues in song, but that was kind of a different story.  And, hey, at least you managed to get out of being repeatedly called "gay" (but even if you had been it wouldn't have been in, like, a homophobic way or anything).
